Snickers overnight oats recipe!
I've been experimenting a bit with a breakfast idea and thought I'd share my latest concoction!
If you like a snickers bar, then this one is probably for you!
It's an overnight oats recipe with the taste quite similar to the real thing!
And I have to say it's going down a storm with my ladies!
It's a well balanced breakfast which can be eaten as an overnight oats or as a warm porridge if you prefer.
Please note if you do tweak the ingredients up or down it will as you'll be aware change the nutritional value which I have calculated & listed below.
Ingredients:
40g rolled oats
5g chia seeds - a great source of omegas & healthy fats
5g cocoa powder
5g honey (optional)
Milk of your choice - start off small with about 100ml & the add more in gradually until you reach your preferred consistency.
20g no added sugar peanut butter - crunchy or smooth
I also added 6g unsalted nuts as a topper along with a strawberry.
You could use berries as a topper or even some seeds.
Method:
Literally just combine everything apart from your chosen topper & place in a sealed container & place in the fridge overnight.
I actually whizzed everything up apart from the oats & nuts/strawberry & then poured over the oats, stirred thoroughly & popped in a sealed jar overnight.
In the morning, I then topped mine with the nuts & added a chopped strawberry.
